David is the driving force behind all of the Group’s philanthropic ventures and regularly encourages his staff to get involved wherever possible. Philanthropy is David’s passion; as well as being a founding supporter of countless charities over the years, he is also a Trustee and Chairman of two separate charities.

Caudwell Children transform the lives of disabled children by providing the life-changing support they so desperately need. They change the lives of disabled children by providing equipment, therapies and treatments they need to lead happy, active and independent lives.
Seven teenagers hear the words ‘you have cancer’ every day in the UK. During a time of fear, loneliness and isolation, Teens Unite brings young people who have been diagnosed with cancer together, so they don’t have to face their battle alone. As a result of cancer treatment, 90% of young people experience anxiety, 83% experience loneliness and 70% experience loneliness.
With over 50,000 women and 400 men in the UK being diagnosed with breast cancer each year, the Epping Breast Unit team at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is dedicated to improving the patient's journey from diagnosis to treatment and aftercare. Starlight Children’s Foundation is a national children’s charity that is dedicated to brightening the lives of seriously ill children, young people and their families. There are nearly 49,000 children and young people in the UK living with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition, with 5,500 new diagnoses each year.
DEBRA is the only national charity supporting people suffering from Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) – a potentially fatal skin condition that causes constant pain due to unstoppable internal and external blistering.

Since 1996 Honeypot has been working to enhance the lives of young carers and vulnerable children aged 5 – 12 years old. Honeypot are the only charity in the UK to provide respite breaks and on-going outreach support throughout a child’s formative years. The charity gives young carers a break from demanding and stressful responsibilities at home and provides a safe, nurturing environment where children at risk can develop their full potential.
Their mission, starting with young women, is to make certain that every individual going through cancer, is provided with personalised support and treatment services that best increase the chance of survival and quality of life.
